Due to the weather, the parish has closed the adoration chapel and offices for tomorrow so we are following suit and canceling the Morning Fire meeting.
I repeat, Morning Fire is Canceled Tomorrow 1-28-2014
If you're looking for something to reflect on for tomorrow, here's a link to an address Pope Benedict gave on fatherhood.

Stay warm.

December 10th: In Your Light We See Light
Questions to reflect on after listening to the talk "In Your Light Do We See Light"
“For with you is the fountain of life; in your light do we see light” Possible areas that keep us back from that freedom and deeper union with God. Let’s reflect and pray through them letting His light shine!
1. Improper self-image (non-spiritual, unworthy, unlovable, too
heavy of a sinner; how could he ever want to draw near to me?)
2. Spiritual complacency (I’m good where I am; let’s not push it)
3. Spiritual sloth (unwilling to pursue holiness because it will mean
greater death to myself) Sacrifice is not my thing!
4. Simple lack of expectancy or faith that God truly wants a deeper
relationship with me (Who me! called to be a Saint!)
5. Unresolved past experiences that have affected your confidence
in moving forward in Christ (Perceived failure in ministry,
removed from a ministry without a solid reason ever been given
to you as to why)
6. Some habitual sin that has not been brought into the light to be
dealt with (sexual in nature or ethical in nature)
7. Unresolved resentments or clinging to past hurts that one has
refused to let go of (Emotional locked in the past)
8. Wounds from broken relationships from which we are in need of
healing and the granting of forgiveness (Spouse, family, friends,
9. Guilt and possibly embarrassment for not having given God
freedom and permission to work his work of transformation in
you (Keeps us avoiding seeking the face of God)
10. Fear of what God might ask of me if I give him free reign in my
life (Struggle over who is truly Lord; God or me)

December 3rd: To Know the Love of God is Better Than Life Itself
Men, here are the three questions I posed to you this morning that we were not able to fully cover.
Please pray over them and answer them for yourselves.
1. How would you describe your experience of how God shows his love to you?
2. To what degree would you say the knowledge of God's love is the motivation behind your discipleship to Christ?
3. Do you have any authentic expectations for receiving more of God's love that can bring about further transformation? If not, why not?
Please remember that God gives grace in abundance to those who seek him with a pure heart!
Your brother and fellow disciple,Paco+
